Part 1, baseball: St. Louis Browns vs. St. Louis Cardinals in the World Series. Personages: Connie Mack and John W. Bricker. Part 2, shows Al Smith's funeral services in N.Y.C.'s St. Patrick's Cathedral, his birthplace, the Gov.'s Mansion in Albany, and Smith in the 1928 Democratic convention and presidential campaign, with Alfred Landon in the 1936 Presidential campaign, with the Duke of Windsor atop the Empire State Building in Rome, and urging the purchase of war bonds. Part 3, Allied troops and tanks advance through the Siegfried Line into German Airborne troops drop by glider and parachutes into the Netherlands, a glider cracks up, and a tow plane crashes in flames. Flame throwing tanks lead the final assault on Le Havre and German prisoners march from the city.
